Euroleague Giants Eye Mfiondu Kabengele for Next Season

In a major development for European basketball, several Euroleague powerhouses are reportedly in the race to sign Canadian forward Mfiondu Kabengele for the upcoming season.
According to a recent report by SportandoReal Madrid, Panathinaikos, and Crvena Zvezda have all expressed interest in the 27-year-old star currently playing for Reyer Venezia in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A. Real Madrid is said to be the frontrunner to secure Kabengele’s signature.

Kabengele, a former Florida State standout, was selected 27th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2019 NBA Draft before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. The nephew of NBA Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo, he has made waves in the Eurocup this season, averaging 15.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, and a 23.2 valuation over 18 games, making him the competition’s second-highest-rated player and top rebounder.
