Andrea Calzoni reported on June 4, 2025, that AS Monaco are targeting Paris Basketball’s Kevarrius Hayes to reinforce their frontcourt for the 2025-26 season. BeBasket confirmed that today that the 28-year-old, 2.06m American-Central African center, who previously played for ASVEL and Zalgiris Kaunas, is seen as a key addition to Monaco’s roster as they prepare for the expanded 20-team EuroLeague, and aim to maintain their Betclic ÉLITE dominance.

Hayes’ Defensive Profile

Hayes averaged 6.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in the EuroLeague with Paris Basketball this season, showcasing his defensive prowess as a solid blocker and rebounder. Trained at the University of Florida, he brings experience from high-level European competitions, having also played for Bursaspor. His athleticism could fill the defensive void left by Donta Hall’s departure in 2024.

Monaco’s Roster Plans

Monaco aim to strengthen their squad for a competitive EuroLeague campaign, facing teams like Fenerbahce, who recently extended Scottie Wilbekin, per Chema de Lucas on June 6, 2025. Hayes’ potential arrival aligns with Monaco’s strategy to add defensive intensity, especially after a season of roster adjustments.
