Xavier Rathan-Mayes is close to signing with Bayern Munich, as reported by Chema de Lucas on X. Buzz Sport previously noted his departure from Real Madrid after an underwhelming season, with the Spanish club already securing David Krämer as his replacement and pursuing Lonnie Walker IV (story) to strengthen their SG position.

Modest EuroLeague Stats with Real Madrid

This season, Rathan-Mayes averaged 5.3 points, 0.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and a 3.9 PIR in 23 EuroLeague games with Real Madrid. His limited impact has paved the way for his exit, as the club looks to revamp its roster for the upcoming campaign.

Strategic Boost for Bayern’s Backcourt

Bayern aims to reinforce their backcourt following the departures of Nick Weiler-Babb and Carsen Edwards, who joined Virtus Bologna. With Justinian Jessup already signed at SG, Rathan-Mayes’ addition would provide depth and experience, enhancing Bayern’s guard rotation for the 2025-26 EuroLeague season.
