Italian media, via journalist Alessandro Maggi, reported that Tyler Ennis has signed a two-year deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv on June 12, 2025, rejecting a lucrative offer from Venezia. The 30-year-old Canadian guard returns to the Reds, where he played in the 2023/24 season, drawn by Hapoel’s EuroLeague spot.

Standout Playoff Performance

Ennis averaged 14.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in 12 playoff games last season with Hapoel, helping them reach the finals against Maccabi Tel Aviv. His NBA background and recent form made him a prized asset, despite Venezia’s high bid.

Strategic Boost for Hapoel

This signing reflects Hapoel’s ambition to leverage coach Dimitris Itoudis’ leadership in their EuroLeague campaign, with Ennis’ playmaking and experience strengthening their roster. The move sidelines Venezia’s plans, highlighting Hapoel’s rising appeal.
