Shake Milton, a seven-year NBA veteran, is in advanced talks with EuroLeague club Partizan Belgrade, sources tell BasketNews. The 28-year-old guard, recently waived by the Los Angeles Lakers on July 20 to create cap space for Marcus Smart, is poised to make his European debut after stints with six NBA teams, including the 76ers and Nets, following the termination of his $3 million 2025-26 contract.

Notable NBA Career and Recent Performances

Across 359 NBA games, Milton averaged 8.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 19 minutes, shooting 45% from the field and 36% from three. Last season, he impressed with the Nets, posting 22 points against the Orlando Magic and a double-double of 16 points and 10 assists against the Spurs, before adding a 21-point game with the Lakers against the Wizards in January, showcasing his scoring versatility.

Tactical Fit for Partizan’s EuroLeague Ambitions

Milton’s NBA experience, highlighted by a career-high 39 points with the 76ers in 2019-20 and a record-tying 13 consecutive three-pointers over three games, brings a dynamic scoring threat to Partizan. His ability to contribute off the bench or start, combined with his outside shooting, aligns with Partizan’s goal to strengthen their backcourt for a competitive 2025-26 EuroLeague season.
