Paris Basketball is close to signing former NBA forward Lamar Stevens, as reported by SDNA. With a revamped roster under new coach Francesco Tabellini following the departure of Tiago Splitter and players like Shorts, Ward, Jantunen, Hayes, Lo, and Malcolm, the French club is targeting Stevens to bolster their lineup for the upcoming season.

Strong NBA Track Record

The 28-year-old, 2.01m forward has played five NBA seasons with the Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies, and Cleveland Cavaliers, appearing in 198 games. Last season, he averaged 5.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 17 games with the Grizzlies, while in 2023-24, he posted 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds, showcasing his scoring and rebounding ability.

Tactical Fit for Paris’ New Era

Stevens’ versatility to play both the ‘3’ and ‘4’ positions aligns with Tabellini’s rebuilding strategy. His NBA experience and physical presence (2.01m) are expected to enhance Paris Basketball’s frontcourt, making him a key addition as the team aims to compete in the EuroLeague.
