Panathinaikos is seriously considering signing veteran center Bryant Dunston, as reported by Eurohoops’ Stavros Barbarousis. The 39-year-old, a former teammate of coach Ergin Ataman at Anadolu Efes, could mirror Tibor Pleiss’ successful move to OAKA.
Proven EuroLeague Legacy and Recent Success
Dunston, a two-time EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year (2014, 2015), ranks 10th with 364 games played. In 2024-25, he led Zalgiris Kaunas to the Lithuanian title, adding to his back-to-back EuroLeague titles with Efes.
Strategic Fit Under Ataman’s System
Having previously played for Olympiacos (2013-15) and Virtus Bologna (2023-24), Dunston’s defensive prowess and experience align with Ataman’s tactics. His potential return to Greece would strengthen Panathinaikos’ frontcourt for the upcoming season.
