Backdoor Podcast reported on June 4, 2025, that Olimpia Milano are strongly pursuing Olympiacos’ center Nikola Milutinov, a 30-year-old Serbian whose contract with the Greek club is expiring, with no renewal yet agreed upon. This follows Milano’s recent signing of Marko Guduric, the EuroLeague champion from Fenerbahce, as confirmed by Buzz Sport on June 1, 2025. However, Milutinov is also on the radar of Dubai BC and Monaco, making the race competitive.

Milutinov’s Fit for Milano

Milutinov, who averaged 8.2 points and 5.8 rebounds in the 2024-25 EuroLeague season, brings the experience Milano need after a season plagued by Josh Nebo’s injuries and Freddie Gillespie’s underwhelming impact. Milano are prepared to make an official offer post-Greek League season.

Building for EuroLeague Success

Milano aim to close the gap with EuroLeague elites. Milutinov’s addition alongside Guduric, who averaged 10.9 points in the EuroLeague, would bolster their roster for the 20-team EuroLeague next season. With Giorgio Armani’s backing and a focus on experienced players, Milano are positioning themselves to return to the playoffs, competing against new entrants like Dubai BC, who also signed Mfiondu Kabengele, Aleksa Avramovic and McKinley Wright.
