Sportklub reported, that Nemanja Nedović, a veteran guard, has agreed to a two-year contract extension with Crvena Zvezda, accepting a salary reduction as a condition. The 33-year-old, who returned to the club in 2022 on a three-year deal, remains a key player under coach Giannis Sfairopoulos, who is also targeting Carsen Edwards, as reported by SPORT24 on June 3, 2025, to bolster the squad for the upcoming season.
Season Performance
Nedović averaged 9.2 points, 1.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and a 8.3 efficiency rating in the EuroLeague this season, with a slightly better 11.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in the ABA League. Despite inconsistent form and periods out of rhythm, he showed flashes of brilliance, contributing to Zvezda’s Radivoj Korać Cup win, though they fell to Budućnost in the ABA semifinals and reached the EuroLeague play-in.
Career Journey and Goals
Starting his career at Crvena Zvezda from 2008 to 2012, Nedović has played for Rytas, the Golden State Warriors (2013-14), Valencia, Unicaja, Olimpia Milano, and Panathinaikos before returning to Belgrade. With the Serbian League ongoing, Zvezda aim to build on their domestic success and make a deeper EuroLeague run in the 20-team format next season, with Nedović expected to regain consistency alongside potential new signings.
