Moses Wright is expected to sign with Zalgiris Kaunas, BasketNews reported on May 24, 2025, choosing the Lithuanian club over Bayern Munich after ending his season with Olympiacos, where he may remain inactive for the Greek League playoffs. The 26-year-old American-born, naturalized Cypriot big man, known as “Wright the Right,” has been a standout in the EuroLeague, averaging 23 points and 7 rebounds in Round 2 of the 2024-25 season, earning him the Hoops Agents Player of the Week award. This move strengthens Zalgiris’ frontcourt as they aim to build on their 2024-25 campaign under coach Andrea Trinchieri.

Wright, who signed with Olympiacos in January 2024 through the summer of 2025, previously played for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in China and had a notable college career at Georgia Tech, where he posted a career-high 33 points and 10 rebounds against Syracuse in 2020. His versatility as a 6’9” forward/center shone in the EuroLeague, with averages of 13 points and 7 rebounds per game during his junior year at Georgia Tech, and his athleticism—highlighted by a 31-point, 20-rebound game against Georgia State—adds a dynamic presence to Zalgiris (per prior web results). Wright’s decision comes despite interest from Bayern Munich, signaling his intent to compete for a EuroLeague title (per Eurohoops.net).
