Potential in the Tournament, Strong Sides and Weaknesses
There will be a lot of teams to be contender in Eurobasket, but the Turkish National Team looks powerful with their current/former NBA players and great role players. It is also safe to say that they have one of the greatest center rotations in the tournament. Alperen Şengün, who has put himself to the MVP rankings list during the NBA regular season, will lead the frontcourt. Adem Bona will show himself with his athleticism, Ömer Faruk Yurtseven will be an alley-oop threat and they will be able to open up space on the court with Sertaç Şanlı, as a stretch 5.
An experienced guard, Shane Larkin, will be leading the team with his playmaking skills. Şehmus Hazer will have an important role in this team, he had a decent season in Bahcesehir Istanbul and he recently joined Anadolu Efes.
Their weakness happens to be on the forward rotation, but their head coach, Ergin Ataman, will find the best role to give for each player in the squad. If they can fit these pieces correctly, they might have a championship window.
