Fenerbahce Beko Grabs A Huge 87-91 Win And Leads the Finals 3-1

On a close game in Istanbul, Fenerbahce Beko took another important win against Besiktas Fibabanka and now they are only 1 game away from back-to-back championships.

Besiktas was aiming to win their both home games and to tie this thrilling series up, but Wade Baldwin blew out with 24 points (16 points in the 4th quarter) and took the win on the road for his team. Khem Birch helped Fenerbahce with 12 points and 8 rebounds, while Nigel Hayes Davis having a night with 15 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists.

On the other side, Jonah Mathews put the most points in the game for black and whites with 26 points. Besiktas also had a great contribution from Conor Morgan, as he had 15 points and 5 rebounds only in 20 minutes.

Melih Mahmutoglu, captain of Fenerbahce Beko, made a statement about the last 2 games on the road: “The two matches here have been very difficult and under heavy conditions. We couldn’t respond to Besiktas’ toughness in the first game. There are other factors, but there is no need to talk about them anymore. After all, the environment here is very good for playing basketball.”

As Fenerbahce Beko needs just a win for the championship, Besiktas must keep its toughness and win all the games left. Next game is set for June 25, 2025, and the series will move to Ulker Sports Arena. Another thrilling game is ahead of us.
