Crvena Zvezda is strongly interested in signing Lorenzo Brown from Panathinaikos BC and is prepared to offer him a contract, according to George Zakkas of SDNA on May 25, 2025. Brown, who signed a three-year deal with Panathinaikos in June 2024 (per Basketnews.com), is set to leave this summer following the club’s signing of TJ Shorts as his replacement, with Shorts finalizing a deal to join Athens (per prior web results). The 34-year-old guard, known for his playmaking, could be a key addition for Crvena Zvezda as they aim to strengthen their roster for the 2025-26 EuroLeague season.

Brown struggled to find a consistent role with Panathinaikos in the 2024-25 season, averaging 8.7 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.1 rebounds in 23 minutes per game, a drop from his 13.1 points and 6.1 assists with Maccabi in 2023-24. Despite the challenges, the Spanish national team star, who led Spain to the 2022 EuroBasket title, brings experience with 162 NBA games across five teams and a EuroLeague career spanning UNICS Kazan, Fenerbahce, and Maccabi. His ability to orchestrate offenses makes him an attractive target for Crvena Zvezda, who recently finished fourth in the Adriatic League.
