SYNTAINICS MBC, the German Cup winners, announced two key moves for the 2025/26 easyCredit BBL season on June 24, 2025: 31-year-old Ivorian-German guard Bazoumana Koné joins from Würzburg on a one-year deal, while 23-year-old guard Aleksa Kovacevic will seek new challenges with EPG Guardians Koblenz in ProA. This reshuffle follows a dynamic EuroLeague and BBL transfer market.
Koné’s Experience Meets MBC’s Needs
Koné, with 131 BBL games across Bremerhaven, Ludwigsburg, Gießen, Braunschweig, and Würzburg, brings a 3.8-point average from 31 games in 2024-25, plus a rich resume including the G League, ProA, and Ivory Coast’s 2023 World Cup team (8.3 points). Coach Marco Ramondino praises his versatility, contrasting with Kovacevic’s 1.5-point stint in 49 MBC games, marking a strategic roster evolution.
