Anadolu Efes reported on May 31, 2025, that Anadolu Efes Istanbul have extended contracts for power forward Ercan Osmani through 2027 and swingman Erkan Yilmaz for two more years, as initially revealed by Buzz Sport on May 3, 2025. Osmani, 26, played all 39 EuroLeague games last season, averaging 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds, while Yilmaz, 27, averaged 3.5 points and 3.2 rebounds in 25 Turkish BSL games.

Osmani’s Growth

Osmani, who joined Efes in 2023, showed improvement from his debut EuroLeague season (4.4 points, 2.6 rebounds in 13 minutes) to this year’s 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds in 17 minutes. The 2.10m forward’s consistency makes him a cornerstone for Efes as they aim to build on their recent EuroLeague campaigns, having reached the Play-Off in 2025.

Yilmaz’s Role

Yilmaz, also with Efes since 2023, played a limited EuroLeague role (1.6 points in 13 games) but was a steady contributor in the BSL, logging 3.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 16 minutes per game. With experience from Turkish clubs like Turk Telekom and Bahcesehir Koleji, Yilmaz adds depth as Efes prepares for a competitive 2025-26 season in the 20-team EuroLeague.
