Dusan Neskovic, a 24-year-old Serbian forward, has joined MLP Academics Heidelberg for his rookie professional season. The Bundesliga club has signed the 2.02m player for one year with an option for a second season, marking a significant addition to their roster as they prepare for the 2025-26 campaign.
Promising College and Youth Career
Neskovic showcased his potential during four years at Dartmouth College and the University of Richmond, averaging 13.5 points and 3.6 rebounds, with a career-high 28 points in January 2025. His early career included stints with Partizan Belgrade’s youth teams, notably the 2017-18 Adidas Next Generation Tournament, and a brief period in Bosnia before moving to the U.S. for high school.
Tactical Fit for Heidelberg’s Strategy
Sport director Alex Vogel praises Neskovic’s scoring ability, quick drives to the basket, and willingness to take responsibility, noting his potential exceeds his recent three-point shooting stats. His athleticism and frequent free-throw opportunities are expected to enhance Heidelberg’s offensive game under the team’s strategic vision for the upcoming season.
